Support with Navigating Depression

A girl feeling sad

Depression can feel like a heavy weight, making it difficult to find joy, energy, or motivation. It might show up as persistent sadness, numbness, feelings of hopelessness, trouble concentrating, or emotional exhaustion. You may struggle with sleep disturbances, changes in appetite, difficulty getting out of bed, or withdrawing from relationships and activities that once brought comfort.

Depression can stem from life stressors, grief, chronic illness, major transitions, or past experiences. For some, it may feel like it has always been there—something lingering in the background, making it hard to imagine a life without it.

As a therapist, I work with individuals navigating:

  • Situational depression – Depression triggered by life stressors, loss, relationship struggles or changes, career shifts, or health challenges

  • Chronic depression (Dysthymia) – A long-term, persistent sense of sadness that can feel overwhelming.

  • Postpartum depression – Emotional and mental health changes following pregnancy or childbirth

  • Depression linked to chronic illness or pain – The emotional impacts of living with chronic fatigue, autoimmune conditions, neurological disorders, or ongoing pain

  • Grief and loss-related depression – Feelings of emptiness, longing, or emotional numbness after losing a loved one or experiencing a significant life change

Depression often makes it hard to see a way forward, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
