Living with Chronic Pain

Thinking Man on Couch

Chronic pain affects more than just the body—it can shape your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. When pain is ongoing, it’s easy to feel dismissed, especially if past providers have questioned your experience or suggested the pain is “in your head.” Pain has a real, physical root, and while psychological tools can help with management, that does not mean your pain is imagined or exaggerated.

Many people I work with experience chronic pain conditions such as:

  • Chronic migraines and headaches

  • Chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Chronic pelvic pain

  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and gastrointestinal pain

  • Joint and musculoskeletal pain, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

  • Nerve pain, neuropathy, and post-injury pain syndromes

As a therapist, I help individuals navigate the emotional toll of living with chronic pain. I know that healing isn’t always about eliminating pain, but rather finding ways to live a meaningful life alongside it. Together, we can explore ways to manage stress, regulate emotions, and develop coping strategies that honor both your physical reality and emotional well-being.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. I’m here to support you.
